Choosing the dress

A bit of advice.

Look for full-length skirts with weight and movement — duchess satin, sequinned tulle, beaded lace and structured corsetry all photograph and dance well.
Statement colour and shine carry well across a large room — peacock greens, sapphire blues, deep reds and metallics often win.
Think about how you'll dance: a dress with a tailored corset and a flowing skirt usually beats anything that needs constant adjustment.
